How do I know if this service is suitable for me?
The first one hour session is offered completely free of charge, and will consist of a meeting to identify key areas for support and issues that need to be addressed. An individual learning programme can then be agreed.
How long are the sessions and when are they held?
The sessions are normally one hour in length and held at the Indigo Dyslexia Centre, continuing for as long as the client feels is necessary. Times to suit the client during the day and evenings can be arranged.
What kind of teaching methods are used?

Study skills tutors do not endevour to teach to to read, write or spell, they assume that the client is comming with their own knowledge of the subject area and mearly needing assistance to be able to present their thoughts and shjow their abilities to ythe best. A study skills tutor will teach you coping stratagies, organisational skills, sentence structure, help with proof reading, but they will not attempt to teach you spelling or take you back to school.
How much does it cost?
Study skills tutors normally charge £30 per hour, however if you are a higher education student and in receipt of disabled students allowance (DSA), then access to a study skills tutor will be free of charge as payment will come included as part of your allowance.
