Most students with learning difficulties are eligible for Disabled Students Allowance. This is a fund designed to pay for support to level the playing field for that student in Higher Education. However, accessing it can be confusing. We can help by:
- Explaining learning dificulties and how they might affect your studies
- Screening tests to see if you may be eligible for DSA
- Help and assistance applying for DSA
- Assessment of study needs in support of your DSA application
- Finding support for your studies
- Putting you in contact with the right people to help
- Finding and providing a tutor for you
- Making the most of your DSA award
The DSA can help with additional study costs incurred as a direct result of a disability, such as a physical disability, mental health difficulty, long-term illness or a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia. They are available to many full-time and part-time UK home students, both undergraduates and postgraduates. Part-time students must be studying at least 50% of a full-time course.
We conduct Needs Assessments in Norwich through the Northampton Assessment Centre (NAC). The waiting time should be approximately one week, subject to demand.
