Most students with learning difficulties are eligible for Disabled Students Allowance. This is a fund designed to pay for support to level the playing field for that student in Higher Education. However, accessing it can be confusing. We can help by:

  • Explaining learning dificulties and how they might affect your studies
  • Screening tests to see if you may be eligible for DSA
  • Help and assistance applying for DSA
  • Assessment of study needs in support of your DSA application
  • Finding support for your studies
  • Putting you in contact with the right people to help
  • Finding and providing a tutor for you
  • Making the most of your DSA award

The DSA can help with additional study costs incurred as a direct result of a disability, such as a physical disability, mental health difficulty, long-term illness or a specific learning difficulty such as dyslexia. They are available to many full-time and part-time UK home students, both undergraduates and postgraduates. Part-time students must be studying at least 50% of a full-time course.

We conduct Needs Assessments in Norwich through the Northampton Assessment Centre (NAC). The waiting time should be approximately one week, subject to demand.

No matter where you study, you can have your Needs Assessment at Indigo.
