Driving Tests

It is recommended that Dyslexic candidates refer to the latest information about Special Needs on the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) website. This site lists details of the non driving concessions that are available under Special Needs these can include:

  • A “Voice Over” for Part One of the Test.
  • An extension of up to double the time normally allowed for Part One.

    You should bring your Dyslexia to the attention of the DSA at the very outset when making your Test arrangements. However if you feel that these concessions do not meet with your requirements then you should discuss this as soon as possible with the Theory Test Customer Services at the DSA.
